ATS offers a security guard service, with trained and qualified guards that are SIA-licensed but also have a certificate in fire marshalling. We’ve put together a list of responsibilities and duties that a fire marshal must deal with on a daily basis.

Responsibilities of the Fire Marshal

• Closed, clear, unlocked, and ready to use fire doors and fire exits
• All escape routes are safe, unobstructed, and clear
• Fire extinguishers are properly stored and sealed
• There are clearly visible fire safety signs
• There are no obstructions to the fire alarms
• Emergency lighting that isn’t working properly must be reported
• If any of the weekly fire alarm tests are found to be defective, they should be reported
• In the event of an evacuation, all people with disabilities are accommodated
